Social Bank, operated by the legal entity Acessos Soluções de Pagamento S.A., was a prominent Brazilian fintech launched to offer a free digital account accessible via a mobile application. Its mission was to democratize access to financial services in Brazil. The platform provided core functionalities such as peer-to-peer money transfers, bill payments, mobile top-ups, and a prepaid Mastercard for online and in-store purchases. In 2021, the cashback and financial services company Méliuz announced the acquisition of Social Bank to enhance its own financial services ecosystem. Following the acquisition, the Social Bank brand was phased out, and its operations and user base were integrated into the Méliuz digital account.
