The SMSF Association is a non-profit, member-based organization that represents professionals and trustees within Australia's Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) industry. Its mission is to lead the professionalism, integrity, and sustainability of the SMSF sector by providing education, setting professional standards, and advocating to the government and regulators on behalf of its members. Originally founded in 2003 as the SMSF Professionals' Association of Australia (SPAA), it was rebranded as the SMSF Association in 2015 to better reflect its role in representing the entire SMSF community.
