Originally founded in 1945, Sirius Group was a global insurance and reinsurance company based in Hamilton, Bermuda. It provided a wide range of property and casualty reinsurance products to insurance and reinsurance companies worldwide. In February 2021, Sirius Group completed a merger with Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. to form SiriusPoint Ltd. The new entity, SiriusPoint, continues the legacy business as a global specialty insurer and reinsurer, offering solutions in accident and health (A&H), casualty, property, and specialty lines of business. The UK operation, Sirius International Insurance Corporation (UK Branch), remains a key part of its global presence.
