RCB Bank
Information by Research Trustfinance
Originally founded in 1995 as Russian Commercial Bank (Cyprus) Limited, RCB Bank Ltd grew to become a significant international bank in Cyprus, supervised by the European Central Bank (ECB). Historically, it was a subsidiary of Russia's VTB Bank and catered to a large base of international and Cypriot clients. Following major geopolitical events in 2022 and the imposition of sanctions on Russian entities, the bank underwent a fundamental transformation. It ceased all banking operations, sold a significant part of its loan portfolio, and is currently in the process of becoming an asset management company, focused on managing its remaining assets and liabilities under the supervision of the ECB and the Central Bank of Cyprus.
