Founded in 1995, Otkritie Broker grew to become one of Russia's largest and most well-known brokerage companies, providing a wide range of investment services to retail and institutional clients, including access to Russian and international stock exchanges. Following the 2017 nationalization of its parent, Otkritie FC Bank, by the Central Bank of Russia, the entire banking group was sold to the state-owned VTB Bank in December 2022. Subsequently, a full integration process began, and on January 1, 2024, all client brokerage services of Otkritie Broker were officially transferred and merged into VTB My Investments, the brokerage division of VTB Bank. The Otkritie Broker brand is no longer in active use.
