Established in 1992 by the State of New Hampshire Legislature, the Business Finance Authority (BFA) is a self-funding, quasi-governmental agency. Its mission is to foster business growth, create employment opportunities, and enhance the economic vitality of New Hampshire. The BFA achieves this by working with New Hampshire's banking, business, and economic development sectors to provide a wide range of financing programs for businesses, including loan guarantees, direct lending, and the issuance of tax-exempt bonds.
