Founded on October 29, 1993, by a group of officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Paraguay, Maycoop is a non-profit cooperative entity. Its mission is to promote solidarity and mutual help among its members by satisfying their financial, social, and cultural needs. The cooperative offers a range of services including savings accounts, various types of loans (for consumption, housing, vehicles), and other social benefits, operating under the principles of the cooperative movement.
