The company described itself as a FinTech firm specializing in trade finance and physical commodity finance solutions, powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. It went public via a Regulation A+ offering in December 2017. Shortly after, LongFin announced the acquisition of a purported cryptocurrency business, Ziddu.com, causing its stock price to skyrocket over 2,600% amidst the cryptocurrency bubble. However, the company's operations were later revealed to be fraudulent, leading to regulatory intervention, its delisting from NASDAQ, and eventual shutdown.
