Established in 2014 by the Province of Limburg, the Limburgs Energie Fonds (LEF) is a dedicated investment fund managed by the Limburg development company, LIOF. Its primary mission is to accelerate the energy transition within the province of Limburg by providing financing (such as loans and equity) to projects focused on renewable energy generation, energy conservation, and the circular economy. The fund aims to make Limburg more sustainable by supporting innovative and impactful initiatives from businesses, housing corporations, and semi-public institutions.
