Insurance and Care NSW (icare) is a New South Wales (NSW) Government-owned corporation established on September 1, 2015. It acts as the state's social insurer, providing workers' compensation insurance to more than 329,000 public and private sector employers and their 3.2 million employees. Icare's mission is to support people with injuries to return to work and life, and it manages one of the largest insurance and care schemes in Australia. It also provides services for the Dust Diseases Care scheme and the Lifetime Care and Support scheme for people severely injured on NSW roads.
