Founded in 2012 by Matt Putman, Ramsay Daly, and Clive Putman, iKhokha's mission is to empower entrepreneurs and small businesses in South Africa by making payment acceptance simple, fast, and affordable. The company offers a range of low-cost card machines that connect to a smartphone app, enabling merchants to accept card payments anywhere, anytime. In addition to their core mPOS solutions, they also provide online payment gateways, business financing, and other tools to help businesses grow. iKhokha was acquired by the Adumo group in 2019, joining one of South Africa's largest independent payment processing organizations.
