Founded in 1989, the Housing Development Fund, Inc. (HDF) is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that serves low- and moderate-income households. Its mission is to facilitate the development of affordable housing and to help families become and remain homeowners. HDF accomplishes this by providing unique lending products, financial education, and homeownership counseling, primarily funded through capital raised from private corporations, foundations, and government entities.
