Founded in 1957, Güneş Sigorta A.Ş. established itself as a major player in the Turkish insurance market. For over 60 years, it provided a wide array of non-life insurance services, including motor, fire, health, marine, and engineering policies for both individual and corporate clients. In 2020, as part of a major consolidation project by the Turkey Wealth Fund (TVF), Güneş Sigorta, along with other public insurance companies, was merged to form a single, stronger entity named Türkiye Sigorta. This strategic move aimed to increase efficiency and competitiveness in the sector, with all of Gunes Sigorta's assets, rights, and operations being transferred to Türkiye Sigorta.
