Geoban was established by Santander Group to centralize and manage its back-office and administrative operations across various countries. The company specialized in optimizing and executing a wide range of banking processes, including payment processing, collections, accounting, and other administrative support functions. Its mission was to increase efficiency, standardize procedures, and reduce operational costs for the banking group through technology and shared service centers. In 2016, Geoban was merged with Produban, Santander's IT subsidiary, to form a new unified entity named Santander Global Technology & Operations (now known as Santander Global Tech & Ops), which continues to provide the technological and operational backbone for the entire Santander Group.
