The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is a South African regulatory body responsible for market conduct regulation and supervision. Established on April 1, 2018, it replaced the former Financial Services Board (FSB). The FSCA's mandate is to enhance and support the efficiency and integrity of financial markets and to protect financial customers by promoting fair treatment from financial institutions. It achieves this by supervising the conduct of financial services providers, including banks, retirement funds, insurers, and investment firms, ensuring they adhere to South Africa's financial sector laws.
