Originally chartered in 1954 as the Washoe County School District Employees Federal Credit Union, Frontier Financial Credit Union has grown to serve the entire Washoe County community. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to provide its members with affordable, quality financial services. Unlike a traditional bank, the credit union is owned and governed by its members, with earnings returned to them in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings dividends, and fewer fees.
