Chocolate Bayou Community Federal Credit Union (CBCFCU) was chartered in 1961, initially to serve the employees of the Union Carbide plant in Chocolate Bayou, Texas. Over the years, its charter has expanded, and it now serves anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Brazoria County, Texas. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to provide quality, member-focused financial services, returning profits to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees.
