The company focused on originating and servicing automobile loans for customers with less-than-perfect credit. It operated through a robust network of thousands of franchise and independent car dealerships across the United States. In September 2015, CarFinance Capital was acquired by Santander Consumer USA Holdings Inc. (SC) and its operations and portfolio were subsequently absorbed into the Santander brand.
