Founded in 2013, BTCXIndia was a pioneering cryptocurrency exchange in the Indian market, positioning itself as the country's first platform with a real-time open order book for Bitcoin (BTC) to Indian Rupee (INR) trading. The platform, operated by S Capital Solutions Pvt. Ltd., aimed to provide a secure and transparent trading environment for Indian crypto enthusiasts. However, in response to a circular issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in April 2018 that restricted banks from providing services to crypto-related businesses, BTCXIndia was forced to indefinitely suspend its trading services in March 2018 and subsequently ceased all operations.
