The British Columbia Unclaimed Property Society (BC Unclaimed) is a non-profit organization established in 2003 by the Province of British Columbia and the Vancouver Foundation. Its primary mission is to manage and return unclaimed financial assets to their rightful owners. The society receives "forgotten funds" from various mandatory holders, such as financial institutions, government bodies, and companies, that have lost contact with the owner. BC Unclaimed maintains a free, searchable online database where individuals and organizations can check for and claim their dormant accounts, credit balances, forgotten deposits, and other unclaimed monetary property.
