Founded in 1933 by Abdul Majid Zabuli, Bank-e-Millie Afghan (BMA) holds the distinction of being the first bank established in Afghanistan. Initially a private institution, it was later fully nationalized and now operates as a 100% state-owned commercial bank under the supervision of Da Afghanistan Bank (the central bank). BMA's mission is to contribute to the economic development of Afghanistan by providing comprehensive and modern banking services, including deposits, loans, money transfers, and other financial products to its retail, corporate, and government clients.
