Established in 1964 by a special law, Arab African International Bank (AAIB) was the first Arab multinational bank in Egypt, formed as a joint venture between the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA). The bank was founded with a mission to be a key financial partner for projects in the Arab world and Africa. Today, AAIB operates as a full-service commercial and investment bank, serving corporate and retail customers, and has established itself as a leader in corporate finance, project finance, and trade finance in the Egyptian market and the wider region.
