Originally launched in 2012 as Yirendai, an online peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform incubated by CreditEase, the company became a pioneer in China's fintech industry. It was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: YRD) in 2015. In 2019, the company rebranded to Yiren Digital Ltd. to reflect its strategic evolution from a P2P platform to a more diversified digital financial management platform. Today, Yiren Digital focuses on two main business lines: credit-tech, which provides digitally-enabled credit and loan solutions to consumers and small business owners, and wealth management, which offers a comprehensive portfolio of investment products and services to China's mass affluent population.
