Originally founded in 1987, Wonderware pioneered the first Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software based on the Microsoft Windows operating system. It became a global leader in industrial automation and information software. The company was acquired by Invensys in 1998, which was subsequently acquired by Schneider Electric in 2014. In 2018, Schneider Electric's industrial software business, including the Wonderware portfolio, was merged with AVEVA Group plc. Today, the Wonderware brand represents a key part of AVEVA's Operations Control portfolio, providing HMI, SCADA, and industrial information management solutions to a wide range of industries worldwide.
