The app rewarded users for learning about personal finance topics, aiming to build healthier financial habits. In late 2021, GTE Financial, a not-for-profit credit union, acquired Walkmore. The technology and features of the Walkmore app have since been integrated into GTE Financial's own digital banking platform to enhance member engagement and provide innovative financial education tools to its customer base.
