Founded in 1937 by seven faculty members from the University of Nebraska's College of Agriculture, the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union (NUFCU) is a member-owned financial institution. As a not-for-profit cooperative, its mission is to provide quality financial services to meet the needs of its members, returning profits to them in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees. Membership is open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of Nebraska system, as well as their immediate family members.
