Unify Credit Union is a financial co-operative that exists to provide its members with access to affordable loans and a safe place for savings. As a not-for-profit organization, its primary focus is on serving its members rather than maximizing profits for shareholders. Originally formed from the merger of several smaller credit unions (including the former Wigan, Leigh & District, and West Lancashire), Unify serves individuals who live or work within its specified common bond area. It is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the PRA, ensuring members' savings are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
