Unifidi Imprese Sicilia is a financial intermediary supervised by the Bank of Italy, operating as a cooperative credit guarantee consortium ("Confidi"). Founded in 2007 through the merger of various Confidi linked to Confcommercio Sicilia, its primary mission is to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by facilitating their access to credit. It achieves this by providing guarantees to banks and financial institutions, thereby reducing the risk for lenders and improving the creditworthiness of its member businesses.
