Originally founded as MoneyBlock, the company rebranded to TradingBlock and established itself as a technology-focused online broker for self-directed investors and traders in the United States. It offered a suite of trading platforms and tools for equities, options, futures, and other financial instruments. In 2016, Ally Financial acquired TradingBlock and its holding company, TradeKing Group, Inc., to expand its digital financial services. The assets and services of Trading Block were subsequently integrated and rebranded into what is now known as Ally Invest.
