Swarm City was an ambitious project aimed at creating a decentralized, blockchain-based marketplace for the sharing economy. Its mission was to enable direct, trustless transactions between providers and consumers for goods and services, governed by a reputation-based system. The platform utilized its own native token, Swarm City Token (SWT), for transactions and interactions within its ecosystem. Originating from a fork of the Arcade City project in 2016, Swarm City intended to operate as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). However, development and community activity appear to have ceased around 2018-2019, and the project is now considered dormant.
