Originally chartered in 1935 as the SNETCo Credit Union, Skyline Financial Federal Credit Union served employees of the Southern New England Telephone Company (SNET) and its subsequent parent companies like SBC and AT&T. As a federal credit union, it provided its members with standard banking services, including savings accounts, checking accounts, and various types of loans. On November 1, 2017, after a vote by its membership, Skyline Financial Federal Credit Union officially merged with Waterbury Connecticut Teachers Federal Credit Union (WCTFCU) to provide a wider range of products, services, and locations to its members.
