Originally an independent boutique named FOUR Capital Partners, the firm was acquired by the South African financial services group Sanlam in 2015 and rebranded as Sanlam FOUR. It operated as a specialist investment management arm within Sanlam's UK operations, focusing on a range of actively managed funds. In 2017, the business was fully integrated and rebranded as part of the unified Sanlam UK. Subsequently, in 2021, Sanlam's entire UK wealth management business, including the operations that originated from Sanlam Four, was acquired by Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. The original legal entity has since been dissolved.
