Their technology empowered merchants to conduct transactions anywhere, effectively turning their smartphones into secure payment terminals. In 2012, Roam was acquired by the global payment solutions leader, Ingenico Group, and became the foundation of Ingenico's mobile solutions division, significantly expanding its mPOS capabilities globally.
