Launched in 2006 by MultiChoice South Africa (MCSA), Phuthuma Nathi was created to provide a broad base of Black South Africans with an opportunity to invest and share in the success of MCSA. It is one of the most successful B-BBEE schemes in the country, having created significant value for its shareholders. The scheme allows participants to buy and sell Phuthuma Nathi shares on a dedicated trading platform, giving them an indirect but tangible stake in the well-known entertainment and media company.
