Neue Aargauer Bank
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 1912 in Aarau as Aargauische Hypotheken- & Handelsbank, it was renamed Neue Aargauer Bank (NAB) in 1989. Since 1994, NAB operated as a legally independent, wholly-owned subsidiary of Credit Suisse Group. It served as a universal bank for retail clients, private banking customers, and small to medium-sized enterprises within its home market of Aargau. In August 2020, Credit Suisse announced the decision to fully merge NAB into its Swiss business unit (Credit Suisse (Schweiz) AG) to simplify its corporate structure and streamline operations. The technical and legal integration was completed on November 20, 2020, at which point the Neue Aargauer Bank brand ceased to exist.
