Originally chartered in 1969 for the employees of the Haywood County Board of Education, Mountain Heritage Federal Credit Union (MHFCU) has since expanded its field of membership. As a not-for-profit financial institution, it is owned and operated by its members. MHFCU's mission is centered on the principle of "people helping people," and it aims to provide a range of affordable financial services, including savings and checking accounts, various types of loans (auto, mortgage, personal), and credit cards, to meet the needs of its community.
