Founded in 2007, the firm focused on making majority control investments in leading middle-market companies in the business services, consumer, and industrial sectors. In 2015, the management team of Moelis Capital Partners, led by Kurt Larsen and Ted Yun, completed a spin-out of the firm, which was subsequently rebranded as NexPhase Capital, LP. NexPhase Capital continues to manage the legacy funds of Moelis Capital Partners and operates as an independent private equity firm.
