Founded in 1982 by members of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company (MLM) was established to ensure a stable, long-term source of professional liability insurance for lawyers. As a mutual company, it is owned by its policyholders. MLM's mission is to provide high-quality lawyers' professional liability insurance, expert risk management resources, and dedicated claims-handling services to lawyers in its covered states.
