Founded in 2008, Microfinance at Berkeley (MFAB) is a non-profit, student-run organization based at UC Berkeley. Its mission is to empower underserved individuals and small businesses in the Bay Area through direct, hands-on support. The organization operates through several committees, primarily offering pro-bono consulting services to socially responsible businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as developing and teaching financial literacy curricula to community members. MFAB aims to create a positive social impact by applying its members' business and financial skills to address local economic challenges.
