Founded in 1996, MHBT, Inc. grew to become one of the largest privately-owned insurance brokerage firms in the United States, with a primary focus on the Texas market. The company specialized in providing a wide range of property/casualty insurance, risk management, and employee benefits solutions to midsize businesses. In July 2015, MHBT was acquired by Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA), the middle-market agency subsidiary of global insurance broker Marsh. The acquisition integrated MHBT's operations into MMA's southwest region, expanding MMA's presence and capabilities in Texas. Today, the former MHBT continues its mission as part of a national platform, offering enhanced resources and expertise to its clients.
