Founded in 1998, Magellan S.A. established itself as a leader in providing specialized financial solutions to the public healthcare sector in Poland, offering services such as receivables financing, investment loans, and leasing for medical entities. The company was publicly traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange until it was acquired in 2019 by a company of the Mid Europa Partners fund. Following the acquisition, Magellan S.A. was delisted and its operations were integrated into a new brand, Meds, which continues the mission of financing the Polish medical industry.
