Lemon Wallet
Information by Research TrustFinance
Lemon Wallet was a fintech company founded in 2011 that developed a popular digital wallet application for smartphones. Its mission was to create a secure, digital backup of a physical wallet, enabling users to store credit cards, debit cards, ID cards, and loyalty cards on their phone. The app also included features for tracking expenses and scanning receipts. In December 2013, Lemon Inc. was acquired by the identity theft protection company LifeLock for approximately $42.6 million. Following the acquisition, the Lemon Wallet technology was integrated into LifeLock's own digital wallet service, "LifeLock Wallet," and the original Lemon Wallet app was eventually shut down.
