Kaixin Dai
Information by Research Trustfinance
Launched in 2014 by its parent company, the social media giant Renren Inc. (NYSE: RENN), Kaixin Dai was a peer-to-peer lending platform based in China. The company's mission was to provide accessible micro-loans and credit services primarily to college students and young white-collar workers by connecting them with individual and institutional investors. Following a massive, nationwide regulatory crackdown by the Chinese government on the P2P lending industry starting around 2018, Kaixin Dai, along with most of its peers, ceased issuing new loans and has since shifted its operations to managing and collecting outstanding loan balances.
