Joonko
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2016, Joonko was a technology company that aimed to help businesses meet their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals. Its software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform connected with a company's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to identify silver-medalist candidates from underrepresented backgrounds (e.g., women, people of color, veterans) who were not hired. These candidates were then added to a shared talent pool, giving other companies in the Joonko network access to a pre-vetted, diverse group of job seekers. The company raised over $35 million in venture capital. However, in May 2023, Joonko abruptly shut down operations following an investigation that revealed its founder had allegedly falsified data regarding the company's clients and revenue.
