Information by Research TrustFinance
Originally established in 2008 as Jibun Bank Corporation, it was a joint venture between Japanese mobile carrier KDDI and Mitsubishi UFJ Bank (now MUFG Bank), Japan's largest bank. The bank's mission is to be a "smartphone-centric bank," offering convenient and accessible financial services to customers on the go. In April 2020, the company rebranded to "au Jibun Bank Corporation" to strengthen its brand identity within the "au" financial service ecosystem provided by KDDI. It offers a wide range of services including deposits, loans, payments, foreign currency deposits, and investment trusts, all manageable via its mobile app.
