Iron Fish is a Layer-1 blockchain designed to be the universal privacy layer for web3. It aims to provide strong privacy guarantees on every transaction by leveraging zero-knowledge proofs (zk-SNARKs), similar to the technology used in Zcash. The project is built from the ground up to be a new, censorship-resistant, and publicly accessible proof-of-work (PoW) chain. Its mission is to enable users to conduct encrypted transactions, fully protecting sensitive asset and wallet information while still providing a view key to grant read-only access for compliance or transparency purposes.
