Originally established as the investment management arm of the Indiabulls Group, Indiabulls Asset Management Company Ltd. provided a range of mutual fund products to retail and institutional investors across India. In May 2021, it was announced that Nextbillion Technology Private Limited, the parent company of the investment platform Groww, would acquire Indiabulls AMC. The acquisition was officially completed in May 2023, after which the company was renamed Groww Asset Management Limited and its mutual fund schemes were rebranded under the "Groww Mutual Fund" name. The new entity continues to manage the existing funds while aiming to democratize investing with a technology-first approach.
