HBUS launched in July 2018 as the exclusive U.S. strategic partner of Huobi Global, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges. The platform was designed to offer a secure and reliable marketplace for US-based customers to trade a variety of digital assets, operating independently from Huobi Global to comply with U.S. regulations. However, citing a challenging regulatory environment, HBUS announced in December 2019 that it would cease all operations and direct its users to a new Huobi Global-affiliated platform that would not be operated by HBUS.
