Hazina Sacco Society Limited was registered in 1971, initially serving employees of the then Ministry of Finance and Planning. It has since opened its membership to include individuals from various government ministries, parastatals, county governments, and the private sector. The Sacco's mission is to mobilize savings and provide affordable credit and other competitive financial services to empower its members economically. It operates under the Sacco Societies Act and is regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) of Kenya.
