Harare Receivables Exchange (HREx) is a regulated financial platform established to address the liquidity challenges faced by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Zimbabwe. The exchange provides a transparent and efficient online marketplace where businesses (Sellers) can sell their future-dated invoices and other receivables to investors (Buyers) at a discount. This process, known as invoice financing or factoring, allows SMEs to unlock cash tied up in unpaid invoices, improving their cash flow for operations and growth. For investors, the platform offers an alternative short-term investment asset class. HREx is licensed and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZIM) as a securities exchange.
